Black made Bumblebee feel alone and empty, it reminded him of the times he had travelled alone in space, pursuing the Allspark with little if any hope of ever returning home. The colour of Sam's eyes, by far the brightest thing Bumblebee had ever seen. Only matched by Sam's raw sprit. There were times he would simply just gaze into the small brown orbs when Sam wasn't paying attention. Humans said eyes were the window to the soul, and he could see why.

When Sam was happy, his eyes lit up like a firework, lighting up his face in pure contentment. It took Bumblebee aback when Sam would gaze up into his optics with a warm smile on his face. After years of war, he didn't believe happiness and that kind of innocence still existed.

It was 9 pm local time yesterday when the first snow flurries began to fall. Since then, it had came in continuous streams, drenching the ground outside with yet more layers of white powder, adding to the snow that was already there from the previous snowstorm. Worst still, this particular snow was what people called 'wet snow', the stuff that clumped together and stuck to literally everything, which included windows and doors. Two new terms you should be aware of:

Spark Transfer: (From my previous story) Where an immature spark of a sparkling or youngling is transferred to an adult protoform with all the essential adult programming already in place. This was the methods used to quickly make new soldiers for battle but was outlawed due to the suffering it caused.

Energon deficiency: The suffering of a lack of energon leading to many system problems such as stiff joints, system glitches, inability to recharge and eventually Spark arrest.

Spark Arrest: When a spark forces the system into stasis lock due to lack of energon in order to preserve itself. If energon is Echoes... by ~waterbender010

The enormous snow storm that had engulfed the entire country was finally beginning to let up, and for the first time in over two weeks the skies looked clear as the final flake of snow had fallen over Tranquilly. Just in time as Christmas was now only just two days away and despite the enormous disruption people were determined to ensure the festive season went on ahead as normal. Sam could never understand it. He often would return home from school to find Bumblebee already waiting for him in the garage literally rearing to go, it was almost like if the pair did not get to the overlook in that single second, the entire universe would implode.
